MBA at Birmingham Business School

We have been teaching business studies since 1902 and today The Birmingham MBA is taught in a variety of flexible formats to meet the needs of busy professionals. The Birmingham MBA is offered in a range of formats.  The full-time formats take 12 months to complete and part-time a minimum of 24 months. Our programmes are highly ranked and have an international reputation.

The Birmingham MBA is highly ranked in the Global Top 100s of both the Financial Times and Economist. 

In the 2010 Financial Times Global Top 100 we are ranked 75th globally (13th in UK) with high rankings in individual categories, including:

  • Value for money taking account of pre- and post-MBA salaries - 15th
  • Career progression of our MBA students - 27th
  • Proportion of international students - 12th

The FT alumni survey shows our students doubling their salaries after their MBA and that 72% are now working in a different country than pre-MBA.  100% stated they had achieved their aims in Business Management Education and 86% that they had achieved their aims in both Increased Earnings and Career progress.

In the 2009 Economist 'Which MBA' rankings of the world's leading MBA programmes we are currently 16th in the UK and 83rd Globally - indeed we were ranked by them as number 1 in the UK in the 2005 rankings.  This year we have a high global ranking in a number of categories:

  • Student quality - 9th
  • Personal development and educational experience - 30th
  • Diversity of recruiters - 5th
  • Salary increase before and after MBA - 14th
  • Percentage of women students - 14th
  • Work experience at entry - 13th

We are ranked at 59th in the 2009 Global MBA rankings of Expansion, a leading Spanish-language business magazine published in Mexico.  Only 7 other UK schools make it into this ranking.
