The Birmingham duo will be tasked with setting the development agenda for West Midlands Institute members over the next 2 years and will oversee the prestigious Young Directors Awards.  Their greatest challenge will be to maintain pole position, with 2007 seeing the Young Directors of the West Midlands ranked top of all the Institute of Directors Regions across the UK.

About the Institute of Directors - Young Directors

The Institute of Directors differs from other business bodies in that it supports business leader as 'individuals' meaning that they are required to leave their 'day job at the door' and focus on their personal development.

Membership of The Young Directors arm has grown dramatically in the past three years thanks to the increasing number of 'Young Entrepreneurs' setting up and leading businesses across the UK.  With additional support now available to young entrepreneurs through Universities such as Birmingham's Enterprise Innovation Centre, there are an increasing number of young people who have gained the experience of leading a business at an early age.  With a few years of experience under their belt they are becoming targeted by larger corporate businesses to head up business units in the belief that their energy and drive will be of significant long term benefit.
